Against all good advice about ignoring ham operators who intentionally interfere with transmissions, particularly weather-related messages, I’ll say this.
One of the best things about the fact that a 3rd grader can get a ham radio license is that it gives that 3rd grader the chance to show he or she can be more mature than some grown men, like the twisted little terrorist who deliberately interfered with a transmission last night during a threatening weather which had many people nervous and many others volunteering time to serve their fellow citizens. . That is all.
We’re building a website for ham operators in these counties in central Alabama: Jefferson, Shelby, Bibb, Blount, Cullman, Fayette, St. Clair, Talladega, Tuscaloosa, & Walker.
Taking and passing EC-00

The first thing to know is that this is a real course, with reading and homework. You register for it at ARRL’s website (register here.) It costs $50 if you’re an ARRL member. You register for a particular time frame. For example, here’s the next section coming up:
We’ve done some work on our 2-meter repeater list. Help us make it more useful by sending your comments. Here it is.
Hope to have a new list of 440 repeaters by end of the year.
